Ducks on Eighteen
Foggy start to the morning. The ducks didn’t seem to mind.

Sundown Silhouette
Snowy Egret
Our pond has been pretty devoid of birds (other the vultures) for the past several weeks. The high temperature around here and low oxygen levels in the water has killed off a lot of fish. Yesterday after the rain we had several visitors including this Snowy Egret.
Moon
And not that far from Saturn was the Moon that night. I captured this image expecting the next few days to be less than clear sky’s as the Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias strolls leisurely up the east coast. Of course last night was still clear but the almost full moon was between Jupiter and Saturn when I looked about 11pm. Now the clouds and wind have arrived but no where near hurricane force.
Storm Rising
Lightning in the storm cloud yesterday evening. Click on image to see bigger.
Still Morning Thru Broken Screen
Early this morning before the heat came up and there wasn’t a stitch of wind to be found. I really need to get this screen fixed in the meantime just a day in the life image. Need to make more of these.
Lightning Strike
Had some serious storms move thru a week ago Saturday night. This is the result of a lightning strike on the second fairway at Spessard Holland Golf Course in Melbourne Beach, Florida. I always think about lightning hitting trees and structures but this particular strike is right in the middle of a fairway. The strike cut grooves into the grass in all directions from where it hit. It is serious business being out in a storm with lightning. Don’t expect it to miss you.
