Eiffel, Swan, and Moon
Might be a bit hard to see but the very new (or was it old moon) setting over Epcot last night. Click on image to make it a bit bigger.
Moon Sunday Night
The Moon orbits Earth at a speed of 2,288 miles per hour (3,683 kilometers per hour). The International Space Station is traveling about 17500 miles per hour. So the Space Station takes 90 minutes for one complete trip while the moon takes 27+ days.
Half Moon
Half moon last night just after the latest SpaceX launch with people on board.
Just Another Moon
Another Moon
24 Hours Apart
Two views of the moon taken about 24 hours apart. The top one taken two days before the full moon. The second a day later. The moon rises a bit latter each day so the second one was closer to the horizon and so a bit bigger and oranger looking. If you look at both you can see there is a slightly different view of the moon. Just a bit of a turn but not much.
April Moon Called The Pink Moon
Since it’s not really pink I switched this picture of the moon to black and white with a green filter. One day later the Astronaut Micheal Collins passes away at 90. He saw the moon as only a few did.
