Roseate Spoonbill
There is a number of Roseate Spoonbill’s in the area according to things I’ve heard. We only ever get one at a time, and not everyday. The visits are always welcome.
Locked and Loaded
Ready for when the Black Pearl sails into port. I look at the image and hear the music playing in the background. Hans Zimmer‘s contribution to the Pirate movies can not be overlooked. If you don’t understand that just watch the sword duel between Will Turner and Jack Sparrow in the the first Pirate movie.
Fluffed Up
It took 10 seconds for the Snowy Egret to go from it’s sleek svelte shape to this puffed up fuzziness and back to normal. He has quite the control over his feathers. I think it is how he stretches. It just looks so neat.
Snowy Egret
Our pond has been pretty devoid of birds (other the vultures) for the past several weeks. The high temperature around here and low oxygen levels in the water has killed off a lot of fish. Yesterday after the rain we had several visitors including this Snowy Egret.
Rey and Speedster
Part of the ambience of Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios is that you never know who will show up. Rey checking out a used speedster on Batuu.
Sub-light Engine Under Repair
Could not determine what kind of spacecraft this sub-light engine belongs to but the technicians at Ohnaka Transport Solutions keep trying to start it up every once in a while. Not sure if I would want to be in the same building as a fully functioning sub-light engine so I guess it’s good that they haven’t got it fixed yet.
Scan Initiated
The future is taking to long. I thought we would have real robots by now. I still think we could have a Star Wars movie with just robots and it would be very good. Lando’s K3 and Rogue One’s K2 could be reloaded into new bodies and go off causing trouble all over the galaxy.
Millennium Falcon
It bothers me that the Millennium Falcon was sitting under a tarp on the planet Jakku for years yet when Rey and Finn needed it to get away from the First Order the ship was fueled and powered up. If I have a car that sits more than a couple of weeks I have 4 flat tires and a dead battery.
Breathe
It was really hot the other day. Neighborhood alligator was opening his/her mouth for a bit of fresh air. This gator is getting uncomfortably big for someone who lives on our backyard pond.
Barbossa Fires Cannon on Wicked Wench
Caught the cannon firing on the Wicked Wench just after the drop at Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Magic Kingdom.
